So, the last week has been good for shopping, and pretty much crap for everything else. I traded in some of my Coke points for a Nike card, and got a pair of sneakers that are really comfortable. Sunday we went into Wolf’s on a whim, and came away with a new bedside table (now I don’t have to use my dad’s old printer cart!) and a totally comfortable chair and ottoman for to watch my telly and play games in, all of which was madly on sale. Seriously, we got the whole lot, plus fabric guard and delivery, for less than the original price on the table. Oh, and I found a copy of “Dreadful Skin” on Half.com, signed, for under $20. Our shopping karma is rockin’, y’all.

And everything else? Well, my lower back continues to hurt (probably because my period continues to play hide and seek with me), my new ceiling panels were a complete bitch to put in and do not absorb sound like the old crumbling ones did, my room smells a little now from them, and yesterday I woke up with a headache and the neck-and-shoulder ache from hell. I spent a lot of time with a heating pad and some monster-sized Motrin, and things are better, but still Not Good.

So of course now I’m actually feeling the urge to work on something creative. Not anything I have, no, my psychosis wants Something New. This is probably in part to being all bummed and tired and achy, which often leaves me with the yen to acquire things. Currently the yen is for things Tonner (I blame you, Vasilisa! Sweet, sweet, Vasilisa…mmmmmmm….) I’m trying to talk myself down from that, as even the “cheap” on eBay stuff will totally wipe-out my Paypal credit, and I just know that is when someone will suddenly list the Angel I want with exactly the right Buy-It-Now price.

At the moment, though? I’m kind of having trouble caring.
